Setting a Strategy: Using a Pandemic to Reset your Finances

As almost 1/5 of the United States workforce has been furloughed or laid off in the month of April alone; many Americans are reeling, wondering what they can do to insulate their finances from risks that are out of their control. Hear from Brennan McCarthy on the current state of the economy and the stock market, what financial opportunities have been made available through the CARES Act, and how these strategies can be implemented to “set the stage” for a long-term financial plan.

Brennan McCarthy, CFP®, is the Director of Financial Planning and a partner at Boulevard Wealth Management. Brennan oversees the firm’s client financial plans and his scope of excellence includes advising clients on how to use investment real estate to maximize family wealth. He also works as an Independent Advisor Representative for Boulevard, specializing in providing financial advice for young professionals.


After completing 4,000 hours of professional experience with Boulevard Wealth Management, Brennan became one of the youngest CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERs™ in the state of Minnesota when he passed the exam in 2018 at the age of 22. 


Brennan was recently honored as a “Rising Young Professional” of 2020 by Finance and Commerce for his professional achievements, community leadership, and volunteerism. He volunteers as the Vice President of the Career Development Committee for the Financial Planning Association, working to advance the financial planning industry by equipping recent college graduates and connecting them with local financial planning firms.
